Seminario de Investigación IS.UPC "The use of Virtual Worlds to teach humanitarian principles"

The seminar will look at virtual worlds (focusing on Secondlife) and their use in teaching Humanitarian Engineering at Coventry University.

The seminar will offer a brief definition of humanitarian engineering and highlight the complexities of teaching some of the topics involved in this subject.

It will then document the journey of taking Coventry University’s internationally renowned Activity Led Learning and translating it into a virtual world environment to educate engineering students on some of the social skills required to be an effective global engineer.
