4th Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on Circular Economy

Applications are now open for the 4th Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on Circular Economy, an international training initiative jointly organized by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), the University of Porto (Portugal), and the Bucharest University of Technology. (Romania)




This programme offers students a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of circular economy strategies within a European and interdisciplinary context, combining online learning with an intensive in-person experience in Porto (Portugal).

Programme format and structure

The BIP follows a blended learning format, integrating virtual academic activities with a one-week on-site mobility in Porto from 6th to 10th July 2026.

Participants who successfully complete the programme will obtain 3 ECTS credits. Mobility grants are available for selected students.

The training focuses on circular economy models, sustainable transitions, and collaborative problem-solving approaches, fostering international teamwork and cross-cultural exchange.

Objectives and learning approach

The programme aims to:

  • Strengthen students’ understanding of circular economy frameworks and implementation strategies
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration across European universities
  • Encourage applied learning through real case studies and interactive workshops
  • Foster international academic mobility and networking

Through lectures, collaborative projects, and experiential activities, participants will engage with practical challenges related to sustainability transitions and circular innovation.
