International Summer School: Transdisciplinarity methods and tools to address conflicts of sustainability and land use

in collaboration with tdAcademy and Centre for Technology and Society (ZTG) of TU Berlin.
At the International Summer School, we want to introduce the concept of transdisciplinary research and practice, an approach that facilitates the integration of diverse perspectives both from the scientific and social fields, thus catalyzing solutions to real world problems. The programme focuses on the teaching of fundamental principles of collaborative design of solutions, the co-production of knowledge and the collective evaluation of research results to master's and doctoral students. The participants are nourished by technological disciplines such as engineering, planning and environmental studies, as well as other fields such as social sciences.

Blended Intensive Program (BIP) on Circular Economy

in collaboration with Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II
The current state of education in circular economy, especially in higher education, is limited and requires significant development. In engineering and science, cross-cutting training programs are crucial to enhance knowledge and facilitate interdisciplinary actions, in line with the circular economy goals and the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development outlined by the United Nations. This Blended Intensive  Program, in which experts from Portugal, Spain and Italy participate, aims to promote collaborative learning through innovative pedagogical approaches.
