Apply now! International TD Summer School - Transdisciplinarity methods and tools for dealing with sustainability and land use conflicts, Alt Empordà, Girona, from September 25 to October 1, 2022

Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research approaches are essential to solve the complex global problems we face in the 21st century, which are difficult to address from strictly disciplinary approaches. The University Research Institute for Sustainability Science and Technology (ISST.UPC) and the Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG) of the TU Berlin in the framework of the tdAcademy project organize this international summer school on transdisciplinary methods to provide master's and doctoral students with the basic fundamentals to co-design solutions, co-produce knowledge and co-evaluate the results of research practice. The summer school ensures the link with the "real world" and deeply involves societal actors to contribute to the solution of these problems. This edition focuses on the current territorial conflicts in the Alt Empordà region (Catalonia) and interacts with some of the relevant agents of the territory. We invite Master's and PhD students from technology-oriented disciplines (such as engineering, planning, environmental studies, etc.), as well as students from other fields (such as social sciences, law, politics, etc.) to participate in the summer school.

Dates: September 25 to October 1, 2022
Location: Alt Empordà, Girona
Application: Application is possible until February 28, 2022.
