Students of the Master's degree in Sustainability Science and Technology win the second prize of the Recircula Challenge 2021

The SAND team, composed of 4 students from the Master in Science and Technology of Sustainability (Sara Camacho, Andrea OIiver, Natàlia Carmona and Daniel Muñoz), has won the second prize in the Recircula Challenge 2021.

This year's challenge was focused on finding circular solutions to the waste generated by COVID-19. SAND designed its proposal called KARMA, a platform where restaurants and users come together to reduce both their waste generation and their ecological footprint through the use of reusable packaging. Users, in their collection or home orders, ask for their reusable container and after washing it, they return it to any restaurant member of the platform. All this, managed through a mobile application.

The team is very happy with the award received and very excited to be able to carry out the project.

To stay updated on the progress of the project you can follow them on Instagram.

Soon we will all be eating with good KARMA!
