The entire 1st season of the podcast "Contxt: Sustainability in context!" is now available to listen!

The first season of the podcast “Contxt: Sustainability in context” has just finished and is already in preparation for a second season.

This podcast, developed by Julia Margeth and Luisa Velázquez, two students of our Master in Sustainability Science and Technology, wanted to offer during its first five episodes the vision of young professionals and students of the Master on the future challenges of sustainable development as well as the motivations that led them to give a new direction to their careers.

Thus, we could hear the stories of Gerardo, Mexican, environmental engineer, as well as Angel, Peruvian, architect, or Grecia, Venezuelan, chemical engineer, about their path and their relationship with sustainability.

This first season ended with a special episode about COP28 presented by two people who attended: Aline Lara, Brasilera and graduate of the Master and Olga Alcaraz, professor of the Master and researcher of the Group on Governance of Climate Change.

Julia and Luisa are already working on the second season and have announced that it will open to more diverse and deeper topics, aimed at people who are curious about sustainable development and who want to learn more. They want to offer a format of science outreach podcast that allows listeners to easily learn new concepts in each episode. This new season will also focus on giving a voice to experts who already work professionally in this field around the world. We already know what the first episodes will be about: “Energy and materials: what use should we make of plastic” and “Ecofeminism in Amazonia”. We are looking forward to listen to it!
