Assessment of sustainable water use, integrated and sustainable management of water resources, sustainable technologies for water treatment, water quality and health risk assessment, environmental microbiology, water and climate change adaptation. Applied research from the laboratory scale, through the implementation of demonstration projects (pilot plants) and culminating with field interventions at river basin level.
